Orken

Orken is the name given to the mutt-bred melange of races that live in the cold north of Wealdan. The name indiscriminately encompasses a number of interweaving bloodlines, none of which is quite exactly related to another. Some believe the orken bear the corrupted blood of giants; others simply view them as a lesser race full of violent savages. Orken live collectively in tribes, where they roam as nomads in search of plunder and a good fight. They live in tent cities that they erect wherever they feel the need to rest.

In the years after the Great Dying, the orken began to claim large chunks of the Barren Kingdoms for themselves. There are even rumors that some orken in the north have taken to repopulating a handful of abandoned cities and creating permanent orken settlements there, something that orken are not generally inclined to do.

In D&D terms, “orken” comprise of goblins, hobgoblins, bugbears, orcs, half-orcs, orgers, and possibly other related species.
